The company has around 85 FTE and had revenues of 14M€ in 2024. Treon is expecting to multiply its revenues in the next few years. The company has subsidiaries in the US and France currently with plans to expand to other international locations as well.
The position – Chief Financial Officer
As Treon is scaling rapidly, there is a need for a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the company. The CFO plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of Treon as the company grows globally. S/he will lead all aspects of finance – including capital strategy, investor relations, fundraising and financial operations, planning and analysis – while supporting the company’s rapid growth and international expansion. The CFO is responsible for managing SaaS-specific financial metrics, driving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. In this role, the CFO works closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Management Team to guide strategic initiatives, leads fundraising efforts, and ensures Treon has the financial infrastructure and capital in place to achieve set ambitious goals.
Description of duties
- Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting, and risk management.
- Drive the company’s financial strategy, aligning resources to business priorities and growth goals.
- Provide executive leadership with data-driven insights and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
- Fundraising & Capital Management
- Develop and execute strategies for venture and growth capital raises.
- Lead the end-to-end fundraising process including financial modelling, investor materials, and due diligence.
- Manage capital structure and ensure the company is financially positioned for long-term growth.
- Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective investors.
- Maintain regular communication through investor updates, Board presentations, and financial reporting.
- Build long-term relationships with the investment community and support the CEO in fundraising conversations.
- SaaS Metrics & Operational Performance
- Track and report key SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, and payback period.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of recurring revenue and customer growth metrics.
- Align financial planning with product, marketing, and sales performance.
- Develop service business model for different segments/customer groups.
- International Expansion Support
- Enable efficient market entry through financial planning, regulatory compliance, and localised financial operations.
- Optimise global cash management, tax strategy, and FX exposure.
- Build systems and controls to support a multi-entity, multi-currency operation.
- Team & Infrastructure Development
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Establish scalable systems and processes to support rapid growth and international complexity.
- Oversee financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
Candidate requirements
- Min. 12 years of experience working in the finance function and experience in leading – at least smaller – finance teams.
- Experience working in the SaaS segment or understanding of a subscription-driven (ARR) business is important (as well as success in this segment) – having worked in a hardware related industry as well would be a big advantage.
- Experience working at a growth/scaleup company is a must.
- Experience with sizeable international fundraising activities is needed.
- Exposure to international work environment and having worked in international settings is also needed – exposure to US work environment would be a big plus.
- Preferably Master’s degree in relevant field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, etc.)
- Excellent English language skills.
